Drexel’s MS in Learning is a 45-credit program consisting of 4 constructs: 

  • National and state technology standards and 21st-Century

Graduates of this program will be fully-prepared to obtain challenging roles as technology coaches, instructional design leaders, learning coordinators, directors of integrated technology, and other technology-related positions within for-profit learning organizations, training divisions and corporations.

Drexel’s MS in Learning Technologies offers the following concentrations:  

  1. PA Certification in Instructional Tech Specialist - Instructional Technology Specialist certification is available to students that currently possess a Pennsylvania Instructional I or Instructional II teaching certificate. Students who wish to obtain the ITS Certificate but do not possess a Pennsylvania teaching certificate must successfully complete Praxis I exams. 
  2. E-learning Leadership - Students following this path will acquire an in-depth knowledge of online and distance learning leadership theory and practice in emerging information and communication technologies, multimedia pedagogical strategies, and e-learning design and delivery
  3. Learning in Game-Based Environments - Students will be introduced to the foundation of games for learning, motivational research that influences games, learning theories and instructional design principles, the role of play and learning in a participatory culture, and the evaluation of learning technologies.
  4. Instructional Design - This concentration will prepare teachers, instructors, practitioners and others to use instructional design for K-20 education, adult education, and workplace training that addresses the needs of the millennial learner and collaborative, networked communities.
