An Advanced MSN for Pediatric and Primary Care Nurse Practitioners 

Drexel University Online’s Pediatrics and Primary Care nurse practitioner Master’s degree is designed to prepare students to take advanced nursing roles as clinicians, educators, researchers, and leaders in the constantly-evolving changing healthcare environment. The Nurse Practitioner Faculty is committed to quality and excellence in all online Nurse Practitioner (NP) programs. Campus visits are essential to maintain the preeminence of these degrees, including:

• Year 2 Fall Quarter ½ day mandatory program orientation
• NURS 550 - Advanced Physical Assessment and Diagnostic Reasoning: Students are required to come to campus for up to 6 days: 3 days for midpoint review and skills evaluation, and a 3-day final re-demonstration of the physical examination
• NURS 642 –5-day PNP I Summer Residency
• NURS 643 – 2-day PNP II Fall Simulation Experience
• NURS 644 – 2-day PNP III Winter Simulation Experience
• NURS 645 –5-day PNP IV Spring Residency
• *Please note, all post-master's students are required to attend the clinical orientation day.
